If you know any officer in the US Navy, give them a treat. They deserve it. Naval officers have to kit up with various tactical gears to be able to perform effectively and efficiently. There are a handful of tactical gears that every naval officer must have on whether they are going for a gunfight or a simple assignment.
Here the top three tactical gears every naval officer need to have:
- Body Armor
One of the most important tactical gears you can have on is ballistic-rated body armor. Some ballistic armor plates are only as good as stopping one AK-47 round, but they are some that can stop more than one. I do not advise that you test it out on the combat field. You can do that before the combat. However, it is good to know that at least it can stop some shrapnel.
- Tactical Assault Rack
All Naval officers are often required to carry a tactical assault pack on land missions. There are times when the pack is small and light; however, longer missions often require a larger pack. For this, you might have to carry food, extra ammo, water, as well as anything you’re going to need for a successful mission.
- Tactical Boots
A good tactical boot is one of your first line of tactical gear for combat. If your boots are bad, you’re most likely not going to go far on the mission. Although what works for one guy, it remains important for everyone to have a high-grade tactical boot on during combat.
Another important tactical gear is a GPS system. The only thing worse than being hit during a fight is getting lost in one. Due to the peculiarities of the assignment, it is advised that you go for waterproof GPS units.
